Mauro Martínez Schouten

CEO

Recognized for his strategic thinking and people-centered approach, Mauro leads Marenco Real Estate with a clear vision: to offer a highly personalized, discreet, and professional real estate service, supported by in-depth market knowledge and constant attention to detail. His way of working is driven by excellence, inspired by a service culture inherited from his family background and closely linked to the high-end hospitality sector.

Born in Marbella and deeply connected to the area, Mauro combines a solid understanding of the Costa del Sol residential market with a strategic perspective developed throughout his professional career. After training and gaining experience abroad, he returned to his hometown with a broader vision, focused on delivering real value to every transaction and every client.

For more than eight years, he held the position of Business Development Director within the family real estate company, a period during which he gained a comprehensive understanding of the real estate business — ranging from commercial strategy and marketing to operational management and relationships with both national and international clients.

Today, through Marenco Real Estate, his focus is on clients seeking more than just a property: expert, close, and trustworthy guidance, built on discretion, sound judgment, and a long-term vision.


Angela Schouten

Sales Director

Angela Schouten has been working in Marbella's real estate market for over 35 years, during which time she has developed a way of accompanying clients that combines professionalism, warmth and an exceptional ability to understand exactly what each person is looking for.

She trained in Tourism Management in the Netherlands and took her first professional steps in Marbella, as part of the team at the former Hotel Golf Plaza. Shortly afterwards she joined ICW in Seville as Sales Manager, where she managed international groups during the 1992 World Expo, developing from then on a special ability to connect with people from very diverse backgrounds.

In 1990, together with her husband Fausto Martínez Villa, she co-founded FM Consulting Realty Group, making the definitive leap into the real estate sector which has since been her complete dedication.

Today, as Sales Director at Marenco Real Estate, Angela transforms what is usually a complex process into a smooth, clear and uncomplicated experience. She knows how to listen patiently, anticipates needs and gets ahead of the details that make the difference. Her clients highlight her ability to truly understand what they are looking for and her way of making everything move forward smoothly and without setbacks.

She speaks English, Spanish, Dutch, German and French, which allows her to work naturally with clients and investors of any nationality, offering direct, close treatment always in the client's language.

Her meticulous attention to detail and her commitment to service do not end with the signing: Angela continues to accompany her clients after the purchase, making sure everything is in order and maintaining that relationship of trust that defines Marenco Real Estate on the Costa del Sol.


Bernardo Retana

Senior Property Advisor

A serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience, he has built his professional career across the real estate, financial, hospitality, and healthcare sectors, combining strategic vision, execution capability, and a deep understanding of complex markets.

Throughout his career, he has lived in key cities such as New York and Doha, as well as in Spain, establishing himself permanently on the Costa del Sol in 2002. This international background has allowed him to develop a global perspective and build an extensive international network of contacts.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from Hogeschool Zuyd (Maastricht) and is certified in Hotel Investment and Asset Management by Cornell University. Over the years, he has managed assets and transactions with an approximate total value of €10 billion, leading high-value operations with a rigorous, long-term approach.

He speaks seven languages — Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Arabic — enabling him to operate naturally in international environments and provide truly cross-border advisory services.


Fiorenza Jansen

Sales Assistant

With a degree in International and Business Management, Fiorenza began her professional career as a customer service specialist in the Netherlands. Her professionalism, along with her fluency in several languages, quickly led to job offers in Dubai, where she gained experience working in various customer service departments. After her time in Dubai, she decided to settle in Marbella.

Today, established as an expert in telemarketing and sales, Fiorenza is responsible for the initial contact with our clients. Her role is essential in guiding them through the real estate opportunities available on the Costa del Sol, ensuring that every recommendation is perfectly aligned with their needs and expectations.

With a highly personalized approach, Fiorenza guarantees an exceptional purchasing experience and top-tier service, tailored specifically to the demands of the luxury real estate sector.


Sonia Milena Encarnación Aguirre

Office Manager

With an international career developed across Spain, Australia, and Colombia, Sonia brings to Marenco Real Estate a global, structured, and people-focused perspective. Her experience in sectors such as biotechnology, telecommunications, interior design, and real estate has allowed her to cultivate a versatile outlook and a strong ability to navigate dynamic and multicultural environments.

Her background in Business Administration, together with a Master in Business Administration (MBA), strengthens a profile that combines strategy, organization, and a refined attention to detail. Sonia stands out for her methodical approach, clear communication, and her calm yet firm way of managing each process, ensuring that everything moves forward with coherence and professionalism.

Warm, resourceful, and committed, she has become an essential support within the team, contributing balance, sound judgement, and an integrated vision that directly enhances the success of every project.


Raquel Santafe

Marketing Manager

Raquel was born and raised in Marbella, in an entrepreneurial family that nurtured her interest in communication and creativity from an early age. She holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Universidad Europea de Madrid and has spent several years living abroad, an experience that gave her an international perspective and an intuitive ability to connect with people from different backgrounds.

With over ten years of experience in marketing —including more than five within the real estate sector— she stands out for her ability to combine aesthetics, clarity, and strategy. Her approach blends creative sensitivity, strong command of digital tools, and a constant focus on emerging trends, especially in the field of artificial intelligence.

At Marenco, Raquel brings a meticulous and solution-oriented mindset. Her communication style supports clients throughout their journey and highlights the value of each property with precision, always with a refined aesthetic and a strategic vision.


Caroline Demange

Property Advisor

Caroline has developed her professional career between Europe and other international destinations thanks to her experience in the aviation sector, where she worked as a long-haul flight attendant based in Paris. She moved to Marbella in 1998 and has since built a solid career in the real estate sector, collaborating with various national and international developers on off-plan projects and completed properties across Marbella, Benahavís, and Estepona.

With extensive experience in sales and post-sales quality control, Caroline is known for her perseverant, organized, and people-oriented approach. She brings sound judgment, professionalism, and a clear understanding of the market to each client, building trusted relationships at both national and international levels.

She is fluent in French (her native language), English, and Spanish.
